Through this course we aim to position and establish Yoga Nidra beyond mere a tool to help people relax or come out of insomnia or manifest desires but as a robust that serves as the first step to Samadhi.
The participants learn to differentiate and practice Pratyahara, Dharana & Dhyana Yoga Nidra. Knowledge on how Yoga Nidra can not only take the practitioner to Samadhi but also a step to enter the portals of Vedanta.
This course is designed to deepen one's personal practice than a course that aims to prepare teachers of advance Yoga Nidra.
Since 2022, Shrimath is honoured to offer the Advance Yoga Nidra Course certified by Foundation of Indic Wisdom. This is similar to the initiative taken by Indian Yoga Association to design the curriculum for Foundation, Certificate and Advance Certificate Courses in Yoga.

Yogasana & Pranayama
Traditional Yogasana as taught by Bihar School of Yoga is followed at Shrimath. 126 Asana & 9 Pranayama techniques are taught in this 27day course through 2 sessions daily followed by self-practice.
Philosophy sessions revolve around concepts from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras & Bhagawad Gita.
At Shrimath, apart from the above texts, inputs & processes from Tirumular Tirumandiram, Gheranda Samhita, Siva Samhita, & Hatha Yoga Pradipika are taught. Thus, Yoga as a way of life becomes clear.
Mudra is a separate are of study in Tantra. It is important for Yoga practitioners to know & practice at least a dozen of them to deepen their experience of Yogasana, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra & Meditation
Kriya (cleansing techniques) is an integral part of Hatha Yoga. There are 6 classifications & participants learn 3 important ones - Jala Neti, Vamana & Laghu Shankaprakshlana during their course of study
Meditation is the 7th limb of Yoga. The wise say that it is the best appointment of the day with the most important person in our lives i.e. us.
At Shrimath, Meditation with and without Mantra are taught with time tested steps to derive optimum benefits from the same.
Working with Rural School
Shrimath works closely with the Government school so that the students get exposure to new learning and approaches from our course participants.
Daily 45 minutes you would get opportunity to teach these kids during the course of your study.
Pilgrimages are an important aspect of internalizing one's learning. From Shrimath we take participants to Tiruvannamalai, Sringeri, Varanasi, Tala Cauvery as well as the places associated with the Chakras in the body.
Working with Nature
One of the most therapeutic activities is working with nature, daily. The course participants take part in the farm activities daily as a part of their stay and study.
